The interface for TotalAV is full of confusing clutter. Among other things, it states that I have a 1 hour free scan at the start of the free trial period. At that point, the trial is 6 months long, but I have no idea how long the trial is now. At the bottom of the window is a link that looks like an email but sends you to a download page. I would have thought that it would send you to the company site to sign up for the free account. In any case, I clicked it. The trial is now for a year, and it shows 7 days left of the free period. I followed a bunch of “sign in now” links until I finally found one that didn’t take me to the wrong address. This seemed to be the correct one.
Several months ago I bought TotalAV because everyone I know said it was the best antivirus program. I am a mac user so I wanted to use TotalAV as a comparison, and I like TotalAV.
